8:00 am- We are leaving Lyle and Elaine's after another great nite and dinner. Weather this morning is a pleasant 68 degrees with blue sunny skies. Went to Costco and fueled up and on the road again.

 We climbed to 3100 ft and it is still a warm 86 degrees. We thought it would be much cooler than that up here. Stopped at a rest area for lunch in the Tahoe National Forest and they had a nice 1/2 mile trail we took before we ate. It was very interesting. 

At 7242 ft. We have a nice 75 degrees. Was a nice break in the day. We are about one mile from Donner Lake which is also low. Almost to Boomtown. 4:00 pm. Stopped for gas at a Pilot gas station in Winnemucca, NV before we settle in at the very nice motel. Had our dinner in the room and relaxed. Tomorrow another day. Hopefully it will be as good as the last 3 days.

As we begin our trip to Michigan the weather in Merced is 83 degrees with partly sunny skies. The last few days here in Merced have bee overcast and muggy. Temps have been about 102-104 degrees in daytime and 72-74 degrees at night. Very warm. 

After stopping in Stockton for lunch and walk around a bit we are now on the  way to Franks brothers home for the evening. 

3:00 pm and have arrived at our destination. Temp here is 92 degrees and sunny. Went out to dinner, had a nice visit   and will continue on the road tomorrow.
