Mothers Day 2009

Hope all the mothers had a GREAT Mother's Day. I sure did, even tho none of my daughters were in town that day. But Frank made me feel like a special person and says that I "mother" him. Don't know if that was a good comment or bad. I will have to think about that. hahaha
We did go out for brunch with 3 other Moms from our church and had a great time. All the girls called and wished me mothers day and it makes feel very proud that all the daughters have grown up to be responsible, christian, giving girls. It makes a mom very proud.
For Mothers Day I received a beautiful bouquet of pink and white roses that smell awesome, from the Brenda, a pedicure and manicure at the lovely spa here in town, from Barbara, from Carol a great e-mail video saying I was America's Best Mother of the Year and also a CD of IL Divo. what nice looking men! Debbie sent a great collection of Lavender phoo phoo stuff that made the whole bed smell like flowers last night, love it. My darling sweet husband bought me an ----I PHONE! Would you believe it! I couldn't! I love it, I really did not think I would want one, but he was pretty insistent that I get one and now I am glad he did. I just LOVE it. What an awesome phone. Hope all had as good a Mother's Day as I did, just glad all are healthy and we thank God everyday for all the children in the family and to be so blessed.

We went to Michigan for about 7 days because Bill Martin;s mom passed away and we felt it necessary to go to the funeral. She was a good friend and nice lady and had a brain aneurysm and passed away 4 days later. She will be missed by all in the family. Her and Mike had been married 64 years. In spite of the reason we went back, we really enjoyed ourselves very much and go to see all the friends and family again. The weather was very good and both the plane ride there and back was pleasant. We just got back on May 5th and are glad to be home in CA and spend some time at the house. Frank especially is glad to be able to get into his "Man Cave" again. He is making beautiful segmented bowls that are beautiful! Here are a couple he has made while in AZ at the resort. That is where he got started making them.
