10:00 a.m. - Frank's cousins Chuck and Shirley Vandenburg came over from Salem to visit with us for the day. What a great time we had together. We went down to the beach and took our lounge chairs and sat "under the cape" which is a part of the big sand dune mtn. that has a overhang. We "people watched" and saw the fishing "Dories". They are flat bottom fishing boats that come charging on to the beach after they are done fishing on the ocean and they are blowing their horns very loud all the way in to warn the people on the beach to move over and let them in. We walked over to them after they "landed" and they caught some pretty big coho salmon. There must have been close to about 8 at least, what a sight that was. We then had some cheese and crackers and toured some of the shops in the area. Later we went back to the beach and watched the surfers do their thing and then went out to dinner at a "one of a kind" restaurant. The weather was just perfect again and the company was excellent.
