10:15 a.m.- On the road of 101 North to Astoria, OR. These last few days have been GREAT!! We have had such a good time and are looking forward to stopping at the Tillamook Cheese Factory which is only about 20 minutes down the road.
11:15 a.m. - The Tillamook Cheese Factory was just as good as the last time we were here in 2002. We love coming here and it is fun to watch the assembly line and hear again how they make their cheese. I did not know they make 7 different varieties of cheese. After buying our stash for the trip we headed up the road to our final destination, Astoria, OR for the night.
2:30 p.m.- Pulled into the KOA here in Astoria and had a very nice ride along the Pacific Coast. There was an accident along the way where 5 ambulances and fire trucks held us up for awhile, but other than that, it was a beautiful day.
Parked our RV, and then went for a walk around the park. We were here in 2002 when Frank went on a Sturgeon Fishing Trip and caught a very nice fish. There is lots of crabbing and clamming done here.
All was well and we were sitting outside having our snacks and it started to "mist". We went inside and had something to eat and all of a sudden our "mist"turned to rain. It then proceeded to rain all night!!!
Glad we had a chance to enjoy the beautiful day.
